65% of learners in Uganda do not complete primary school

Learners who struggle in school are likely to drop out early. Either their sponsors lose interest in pushing them further or they themselves give up. Yet, most lack the skills necessary for excelling. For example, in Uganda, 60.5% of primary school learners struggle to read while 51.2% can't do basic division.
